After breakfast at hotel, check out rooms and proceed with the sightseeing tour of New Delhi. In New Delhi drive past the 12th century 230- feet high Qutab Minar, a Unesco World Heritage Site gracefully handcarved for its entire height of 234ft, India Gate (memorial to the Indian army soldiers who died in the world war I), the Rashtrapati Bhavan (formerly the viceroy’s residence) and the Parliament House - The Parliament House is 173 m in diameter, has a colonaded verandah and the roof of the outer circle is supported by 247 pillars. You can wander around this awe-inspiring structure before leaping in with a prior permission from the Government of India.
Afternoon depart to Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at hotel. Jaipur is the first planned city of India, located in the desert lands of Rajasthan. The city that once had been the capital of the royalty, now serves as the capital city of Rajasthan. The city of Jaipur, painted in pink, grasp the appreciation of every visitor. One can see that hoary charm still alive in the avenues of Jaipur. Overnight in Jaipur.
After breakfast at hotel, proceed with visit of Amber Fort - is
located in Amber (Jaipur), which used to be the capital of the Kachhwaha clan,
till Jaipur was made the official capital in 1727. The Amber Fort looks
stunning, all-built in white marble and red sandstone. Hawa Mahal -
built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, Hawa Mahal is the most stunning
sight in the city of Jaipur.
The palace, part of a huge complex, overlooks one of Jaipur’s main streets and
was originally constructed to offer women of the court a vantage point, behind
stoned-carved screens, from which to watch the activities taking place in the
bazaar and the surrounding streets.
After lunch, proceed to visit City Palace, the principle residence of the ruling family and is known for its stunning architecture. Part of it now converted into a magnificent museum. Jantar Mantar Observatory, a Unesco World Heritage Site a stone observatory raised in the 18th century. Time permitting visit cottage industry specializing in hand-woven carpets & textiles. Witness how silk carpets are handmade. Overnight in Jaipur.
After breakfast drive to Pushkar - quiet and tranquil, Pushkar is a heaven for tourist searching for respite, A religious town built around a lake, it is best known for the annual camel/cattle fair that take place in the month of October/November and which turns the heaven into a riot of colour. You arrive by afternoon, upon arrival check in to the hotel. Post lunch visit the holy town of Pushkar with its holy lake and numerous ghaats and temples (including the ONLY Brahma Temple in the world), Pushkar is one of the most sacred Hindu towns in India. Overnight in Pushkar.
After breakfast, depart by surface for the city of Taj Mahal, Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, a Unesco World Heritage Site which has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day. Upon arrival in Agra, check in at your Hotel. Overnight in Agra.
After breakfast, proceed to sightseeing tour including Taj Mahal (Friday closed), a Unesco World Heritage Site one of the 7-wonders of the world. Taj Mahal built by Shah Jahan in 1560 in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. This architectural marvel is a perfectly proportioned masterpiece fashioned from white marble that stands testimony to the skill of 20,000 craftsmen brought together from Persia, Turkey, France and Italy and who took 17 years to complete this ‘Love poem In Marble’. Also visit Agra Fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site built during the great Mughal era. Agra Fort built in 1569 on the banks of the Yamuna River. Agra fort containing the halls private and public audiences and other palaces. Shah Jahan spent years of continement at the hands of his son Aurangzeb, looking wistfully at the Taj Mahal from the Fort.
Afternoon drive back to Delhi, and later Transfer to airport for onward flight.
